Latest Performance Improvement Tests

Greetings, Saviors! Today we want to let you in on some tests we’ve been conducting to improve overall frame performance in Tree of Savior. We’ve compared the current performance in the game in ms with the values obtained after applying two improvement measures intended to minimize elements responsible for frame drop issues, as explained below. Particle Instancing: Optimizes function call when identical particles (objects) are rendered on the screen to improve processing speed. Quest Loop: Considers all existing quests but only updates when their status is changed to either ‘available for start’, ‘ongoing’ or ‘available for completion’, making for a more efficient processing of quests.   Blue represents the data obtained before the optimization measures, red represents the data registered after the measures were applied.   perf1 avg time: 31.6ms / max time: 137ms perf2 avg time: 25.5ms / max time 266.6ms avg time difference: 6.1ms / max time difference: -129.6ms avg time improved 0.8 times / max time improved 1.9 times ▲ MAINLOOP: Overall game performance time. The time required to render and show a frame in-game. FPS will increase as this number decreases.   perf1 avg time: 0.1ms / max time: 6.5ms perf2 avg time: 0.5ms / max time: 74.8ms avg time difference: -0.4ms / max time difference: -68.3ms avg time improved 4.5 times / max time improved 11.6 times ▲ UPDATE_QUEST_LOOP: The time required to check quests in-game. While most are checked server-side, some are being checked by the client. There will be less lag the less time this takes.   perf1 avg time: 0.1ms / max time: 2.2ms perf2 avg time: 0.8ms / max time: 3.3ms avg time difference: -0.7ms / max time difference: -1.2ms avg time improved 9.5 times / max time improved 1.5 times ▲ UpdateAnimation: The time required to show the game’s animations. It shows how much time is required to show a character’s movement per frame. The less time it takes, the less time is required to show a character’s animations.   perf1 avg time: 0.6ms / max time: 7.9ms perf2 avg time: 1.4ms / max time: 4.1ms avg time difference: -0.8ms / max time difference: 3.8ms avg time improved 2.3 times / max time improved 0.5 times ▲ RenderVertex: The time required to show game effects. It shows how much time is required to show the game’s effects. Game effects will appear to be smoother the lower the number is.   Looking at the results obtained from our internal tests, we expect these new measures to bring significant improvements to the performance of the game. We’ll be continuing to test the new measures more extensively to stabilize them, and we hope to bring these improvements to you as soon as they’re ready.

Goddess' Blessed Cube Item List: Updated July 3rd

  Important: All the Goddess' Blessed Cubes follow the updated item list regardless of the date it was purchased. This policy will be standard unless stated otherwise. e.g.  Goddess' Blessed Cube A (purchased on November of '16), B (purchased on January of '17) and C (purchased on May of '17) will all follow the item list the most current. NOTE: This edition of the Goddess' Blessed Cube contains 3 Package Costumes (Tuxedo Cat, Fried Chicken Poodle and Popolion), each composed of 1 head piece and one body costume. The head piece of these costumes is considered a Premium Hair item (not a hair accessory) and therefore it is not tradable, it cannot be moved via Team Storage, and it cannot be exchanged for medals at the Exchange Shop. Each costume + hair set can be traded while still in its unopened in Package form, however.

[CLOSED] Treasure of the Stone Whale

  Greetings, Saviors! In regions all over the Kingdom, there have been sightings of a mysterious creature thought to exist only in legends... the Golden Stone Whale. According to old pirate tales, the Golden Stone Whale's secret treasure chest will appear to those who release the monster's ancient Stone Spirit!   Event Period FROM the scheduled maintenance on July 11, 2017 TO the scheduled maintenance on August 1, 2017 Who Can Participate - Characters of all levels How to Participate STEP 1. Travel to one of the regions below and awaken the altar of the legendary Golden Stone Whale. The monster is rumored to appear every two hours, only at even-numbered hours, in the following locations:       - Dadan Jungle       - Knidos Jungle       - Koru Jungle       - Nevellet Quarry 1F       - Paupys Crossing STEP 2. If you're lucky to find the monster, defeat the Golden Stone Whale to receive its Stone Spirit buff, which grants you +100% EXP gains, stamina +20 and movement speed +3 for 1 hour!       - You can receive the "Stone Spirit" buff even if you don't attack the Golden Stone Whale directly, but you must be near the monster when it is defeated. STEP 3. After obtaining the monster's Stone Spirit, head to your nearest Event Notice Board to receive the Stone Whale Treasure, a chest containing one of 8 different reward items (see Stone Whale Treasure Rewards).       - You can only receive the Stone Whale Treasure from the Event Notice Board while you are under the effect of the Stone Spirit buff.       - The Stone Whale Treasure can be received up to 4 times per day, per team (the Stone Spirit buff is character-bound however, i.e. not shared within the team). Stone Whale Treasure Rewards Receive the Stone Whale Treasure from an Event Notice Board while under the effect of the Stone Spirit buff to obtain one of the following items:       - Pirate Hat x1       - Golden Anvil (14 Days) x1       - x8 EXP Tome (14 Days) x1       - Superior Gem Abrasive: 14 Days x1       - Enchant Scroll (14 Days) x3       - Goddess Sculpture (14 Days) x1       - Basic Red Ox x5       - Warp Scroll (14 Days) x5 Important - The times at which the Golden Stone Whale appears are counted by server time (EDT). - If left undefeated, the Golden Stone Whale will disappear one hour after it is generated. - Stone Whale Treasures will be deleted during the scheduled maintenance of August 1, 2017. - Stone Whale Treasures and the Pirate Hat hair accessory can be moved via Team Storage. - The Stone Spirit buff is not affected by the Squire's Base Camp.
