Official GTW Guide 2 – Rewards

Click the links below to read the other GTW guides. 1. How to Play 2. Rewards 3. Strategies and Tips   Honor Rewards Five minutes after the end of the session, members of the winning guild can retrieve the following honor rewards at the Expedition Merchant NPC in the Guild Hangout, according to the Spot Area seized.   Spot Area Rewards Genar Field Black Champion Costume Conqueror Armband Aqueduct Bridge Area Black Champion Costume Baron Allerno Black Champion Costume   Note: - These rewards can be collected until the start of the next GTW session. - The items will include a time limit according to how much time is left until the next session. Tariff Collection After the end of each GTW session, the winning guilds can accumulate and collect tariff funds from cities and the Market, according to the Spot Area seized. 1) City Tariffs Each Spot Area corresponds to a city where local tariffs can be adjusted by the owning guild. The higher the tariff rate, the larger the amount collected. Here is the list of cities and the Spot Areas they correspond to.   Genar Field Baron Allerno Aqueduct Bridge Area Klaipeda Orsha Fedimian   Each guild can adjust their city’s tariff rates under the GTW benefits section of the Guild window (combat tab). The automatic default rate is 10%, and you can adjust it to any number between 0% and 20%. Note: - City tariff rates can be adjusted only by the guild master or members with the corresponding authority. - After adjusting a rate, it can only be adjusted again after 1 hour. - Rates cannot be adjusted from 1 hour before the start of a GTW session until 5 minutes after it ends. - If a Spot Area’s owning guild changes after the end of the session, the corresponding city’s tariff rate resets to the default (10%). - No tariff rates (0%) apply to members of the owning guild within the corresponding city. When the standard rate of 10% is applied to a city, regular players see no change to their Silver spending, compared to how much they would spend before this system was introduced. The change happens when the rate is set below or above 10%, which in turn reduces or increases Silver prices (and the amount accumulated for the owning guild) accordingly. Since the standard is 10%, if a guild applies a tariff rate of 0% (minimum rate) to their city, a transaction that would normally cost 10,000 Silver will now cost 10% less (9,000 Silver) to any regular player, and the amount accumulated for the owning guild from that transaction will be 0. At a tariff rate of 10% (default rate), a transaction that would normally cost 10,000 Silver will continue to cost 10,000 Silver for a regular player, with 10% of that amount (1,000 Silver) accumulated as part of the tariff for the owning guild. If the guild has set a tariff rate of 20% (maximum rate), a transaction that would normally cost 10,000 Silver will now cost 10% more (11,000 Silver) for a regular player, with 20% of that amount (2,000 Silver) accumulated as tariff funds for the owning guild. Tariff funds are accumulated starting 5 minutes after the end of the GTW session, until the end of the next session. These tariffs apply to Silver spent by players who are not members of the owning guild within the corresponding city in the following transactions. Item Merchant: item purchases Equipment Merchant: weapon and armor purchases Accessory Merchant: accessory purchases Companion Trader: companion adoption, companion food purchases, companion training Blacksmith: repairs, recipe purchases, socket addition, gem extraction, identification, item dismantling, weapon appearance changes (if the potential loss prevention option is ON) Storage: Team Storage expansions Geraldas Family: gem purchases Magic Association: item purchases Fishing Manager: item purchases Teliavelis: item purchases, seal enhancement Appraiser Master: identification Tariff rates do not apply to Silver spent in the following transactions: - Warps - Class-specific supply purchases - Guild foundation - Etchings - Personal Storage transactions 2) Market Tariffs Guilds who own a Spot Area can also receive a set percentage of the Silver spent on Market fees (both registration and sale fees). Funds accumulated through these tariffs are calculated on a weekly basis.     Genar Field Baron Allerno Aqueduct Bridge Area Market tariff 4% 3% 3%   Market tariffs apply starting 5 minutes after the end of a GTW session, until the end of the next session. 3) Tariff Fund Distribution Accumulated tariff funds can be viewed under the GTW benefits UI (Guild window), and distributed to your guild members for one week after they are received. E.g. if the GTW session takes place on the 10th, tariff funds will accumulate for 1 week until the 17th, and they can only be distributed during the week after that (until the 24th).   Note: - The amount designated as tariff funds includes both city and Market tariffs. - The list will update 1 hour after the end of the GTW session. - Only the guild master or members with the corresponding authority can distribute funds. - Funds left undistributed one week after they are received will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered. - If the guild is disbanded, any funds left undistributed will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered. - All logs related to funds received and distributed are kept in the ‘Records’ tab. 4) Retrieving Distributed Funds Guild members who receive part of the funds when they are distributed will see an alert message appear on the screen that allows them to retrieve their allocated amount. Note: - The alert will appear to all of your characters for as long as you have funds left to retrieve. - After the funds are distributed, you have 14 days to retrieve them (if not retrieved, the funds are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered). - Retrieved funds are sent to the inventory of the character that receives them. - If you abandon your guild, any funds left to be retrieved will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.

The Lore You Know: Nak Muay

The true origin of our hidden class, Nak Muay, is shrouded in mystery. Although Muay Thai dates back centuries, its roots and prominent figures are heavily debated amongst modern scholars. What can be agreed on, however, are its traditions and the existence of a man known as the father of Muay Thai.  Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand, and those who practice its craft are called, Nak Muay. Muay Thai is a form of fighting that utilizes the whole body – hands for solid punches, elbows for sharp blows, knees for powerful strikes, and legs for lethal kicks – giving it the second name:  the “art of eight limbs.” This fighting style also consists of three different combat distances, each with their own techniques. The signature tattoos, wards, amulets, and ceremonies of the Nak Muay are there to increase the fighter’s good fortune and to ward off bad luck or whatever evil spirits that may follow them into the ring.  The origins of Muay Thai are still unclear as much of its history has been lost. However, there is a prominent figure from Muay Thai history that is celebrated every year on, March 17th. The father of Muay Thai, Nai Khanom Tom.      Nai Khanom Tom was a historical hero turned legend. In 1774, Nai Khanom Tom was one of thousands of Thai prisoners that were taken captive by King Mangra, the Burmese King, after the Burmese invaded and destroyed Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand. Because the Burmese also had their own form of martial arts that was similar to Muay Thai, King Mangra, during a special festival, wanted to see which fighting style was superior. For this trial, Nai Khanom Tom was selected to go head to head against one of Burma’s best champions. Nai Khanom Tom prepared for the fight by performing the ritual of Wai Khru Ram Muay, where the fighter circles the ring in a counter-clockwise direction, prays at each corner, then performs a dance that expresses their respect to their teacher, parents, and ancestors.      The Burmese were mesmerized by the dance, thinking it to be some sort of black magic, and as such, when Nai Khanom Tom defeated his opponent, the referee deemed it invalid. The king then sent nine other fighters, one-by-one to go against Nai Khanom Tom and he defeated them all without taking a single break in-between. King Mangra was so impressed that he said, “Every part of you is blessed with venom, even with your bare hands you can fell ten opponents,” and granted Nai Khanom Tom his freedom and the freedom of his fellow Thais.     This famous story illustrates the best attributes of Muay Thai: the willingness to face against any odds and to win not only for oneself but for others -- thus proving that the path of the Nak Muay is a tough one, but its rewards, just as great. [COMPLETE] Temporary Maintenance and short FAQs

Dear, Saviors. We have conducted an additional maintenance as it was revealed that some accounts were omitted from our previous silver retrieval process. Once again, we would like to sincerely apologize for having caused such an inconvenience with our continued maintenances. All players are given with the following items as compensation for the additional maintenance: - Token time extension + 4 hrs - Enchant Scroll (14 days) x5 - Instanced Dungeon Multiply Token (14 days) x4 All accounts that were omitted from our retrieval process are currently under a temporary restriction, which will be lifted in approximately three hours. We will let you know when the retrieval process is complete through the announcement and we will also make sure to deliver additional compensations should there come to a need for the processing time to be extended further.   The followings are the short Q&A from the frequently asked questions.   1. My silver is gone. - We have returned the item you've listed on the market as it was purchased by an account that acquired silver illegally.  2. My silver is gone and I also can't find my item. - This will be the case where the item sold on the market has already been consumed. In such a case we will need to investigate further before making reimbursements.  There will be further announcements with regards to this issue. 3. I've recently used the market to trade but nothing seems to have changed for me. - Retrieval process will only take place when the item you have listed on the market has been purchased using silver that has been acquired illegally. 4. I am banned even though I haven't acquired any silver illegally. - Most accounts that are currently restricted would have been so only temporarily in order for us to carry on with our silver retrieval process as mentioned above. - It is most likely that your account has not been permanently banned so we must ask for your patience in waiting for us to complete the retrieval process. - But all accounts that have knowingly listed items well above the market price were deemed to have taken part in market abuse or illegal silver transfer and banned permanently as a result. - As such, we have banned only the accounts that sought to exploit the recent situation but please feel free to make an inquiry through the tickets if there are any objections. 5. What will you do if the accounts that illegally acquired silver have already spent their silver on attribute points and such? - As previously mentioned, all accounts that sought to make a profit by listing items on the market well above the average market price have been permanently banned. - We have also retrieved all silver that has been earned via market transactions with the accounts that acquired silver illegally.  - All transactions that took place at smaller sums and at fair market price have been left as is. - We believe that we have managed to retrieve most of the illegally acquired silver at the current time but if you know of any suspicious activities that you would like us to investigate, please let us know through the tickets.

The Lore You Know - Retiarius

A new opponent enters the arena. This time it’s the “net-figher” – the Retiarius -- a fierce opponent to heavily-armored gladiators, such as the Murmillo.  While the images of most gladiators were based on military groups, the image of the retiarius was created around characteristics pertaining to the sea and fishermen. In ancient Rome, fishing was an important part of daily life and having a gladiator who embodied this aspect was something the people could get behind. The story of the retiarius was to fight against more heavily armored gladiators like the murmillo and the secutor, who were both based off of fish.  The retiarius was equipped with three pieces of equipment to claim victory in the arena, a rete, a fascina, and a pugio. The rete, which you may already be familiar with if this is your class of choice, was a weighted wide mesh net about 3 meters in diameter. The fascina was a 1.6 meter trident that was one of the most unique weapons used in the amphitheater and required intense training to master. Unlike the sword, the trident was not the best weapon for close quarter combat, but due to the fact that the retiarius was based off the image of a fisherman, it was a necessary addition. The final piece of equipment was the pugio, a small dagger used in tight situations to parry blows from a sword.     The ends of the rete were wrapped around the wrist of the retiarius and used to trap their opponents, trip them, or ensnare their weapon. If the cast was unsuccessful it could be jerked back and used again. But in the heat of the battle, if the rete was lost, the retiarius would have to continue the fight with just their fascina and pugio. Sometimes opting to grip the fascina with two hands for better control. In other cases, the retiarus would keep their distance, stabbing with the fascina until they were able to use their agility and mobility to close the gap and strike with the pugio.  As mentioned earlier, in contrast to the murmillo, the retiarius was the most lightly armored gladiator in Rome. They bore no helmet or shield, instead they simply wore a manica, which was an arm guard worn on their right arm, and a galerus, which was a bronze shoulder guard. The galerus was a way for them to protect themselves from head strikes.    Like all other gladiators, the retiarius moved the crowd and provided entertainment as they fought to the death. Luckily our retiarii, as their final move, have Vital Protection: Near Escape, to not only whip the crowd into a frenzy but to survive the battle as well. References Wisdom, Stephen. 2001.
