Details on the Founder's Server and Regional Servers
Greetings, Saviors! We wanted to give you more details on the Founder's Servers and make an announcement on the current status of regional servers. [Founder's Server Details] Open : 2 a.m. EDT on the 29th of March, 2016 We have been able to get rough estimates of how many players will access the game during the Early Access period thanks to the sales data. Through our past experience, we’ve discovered what we call an optimal player-per-server ratio to allow pleasant gameplay. After looking at the data, we've decided to be more conservative than usual and lower the player-to-server ratio in order to make sure that there will be no waiting queues as we promised. We will have additional servers on standby in case there is a sudden influx of players when the servers open. An announcement will be made 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to opening those servers in such case. [Regional Servers] We are aware that many players have been requesting regional servers. However, we have come to the conclusion that we cannot create and sustain regional servers based on the data up to this point. Please take a look at the raw purchase data provided by Steam below for your reference. That being said, we will consider creating regional servers later down the line if we see enough support from those regions. Most importantly, we will be offering a 1-time Team transfer to regional servers if and when they are created. Only 1 Team transfer will be offered to each Steam account. Current Plans Regarding the Transition to F2P
Greetings, Saviors! We would like to offer more details on what we have planned for the transition to F2P on the 28th of April, 2016. There is much more than meets the eye, so please read the notice carefully to make sure you do not miss out on anything important. [Founder’s Server : Exclusive Access - Discount Sale] The Founder’s Server : Exclusive Access products will be offered at 30% off the original price from the 21st of April until they are taken down from Steam stores on the 27th of April. The reason for this sale is to compensate for the lack of head-start that players who purchase the products late into the Exclusive Access period would have. [Transition to F2P and Additional Worlds] As we have previously announced, we are planning on creating new worlds if there is a sufficient influx of new players when the game releases to the mass public. However, we will not be creating new worlds immediately upon release. We are planning on opening them gradually in accordance to the influx of new players. We are aware that the number of players per world is extremely important to an MMORPG and do not want the population divided. Players on the Founder’s servers may feel like they are being penalized if the new worlds are immediately opened and all the new players go to those servers. We will be offering 1-time Team transfers to those who purchased Founder's Server : Exclusive Access. Only 1 Team transfer per Steam account will be allowed regardless of the number of products purchased. We will be taking requests from those who would like to make a Team transfer once new worlds open. The transfers will happen approximately 3 weeks after the new worlds are created in order to ensure that some of the head-start effects brought by older players are reduced. Founder's Server : Exclusive Access Now Purchasable on Steam
Hello, Saviors! This is an announcement to let you know that the Founder's Server : Exclusive Access is available for purchase on Steam. You can find the DLC product and make your purchase on the following page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/372000/ Please note the following 1. Service Schedule - Founder's Server Open Date : Tuesday, March 29, 2016 02:00 AM (EST) - Free to Play Server Open Date : Thursday, April 28, 2016 (EST) 2. Purchasing the Founder's Server : Exclusive Access does not directly allow access to the founder's server. 3. We will create more worlds in order to avoid waiting queues by keeping an eye out on the demand shown prior to the March 29th opening. 4. The $9.99 option is on the store but it seems to be taking time to be shown on the base game page. Please search for it separately in the store. We are looking into this with Valve In addition, please refer to the below for information on how to claim your Founder's Pack in the game. Information on the Founder's Pack exclusives and TP: 1. The items will be sent to your in-game message box via GM message that will be accessible after Team creation. You may choose which character you wish to give the items to from the GM message. 2. You may only receive the items on one world so please choose carefully. 3. There will be no time limit on when you can redeem your items. You may decide to receive them at the time of your choice. 4. The Hoglan companion is obtainable in-game from Companion Traders for 453,600 Silver. The purchasers of Access Pass 1 will be provided with a Hoglan Voucher that can be exchanged at the Companion Traders. 5. The Hanaming and Popolion Doll Hair Accessories cannot be obtained in-game. They may be obtainable in the future through other products or events. 6. The Stat Reset Potion cannot be obtained in-game, while the Skill Reset Potion can be purchased from the TP shop. 7. Token benefits cannot be paused / restarted once the Token is used. Please make sure you wish to receive the benefits before using Tokens. 8. A maximum of 3 options can be enchanted on the Hair Accessories by purchasing "Magic Scrolls" from the TP shop. 9. Founder's Server : Exclusive Access Decision
Greetings, Saviors! We would like to announce the finalized decision regarding the Founder's Server : Exclusive Access. After internal discussion, we have decided to schedule a release based on Option B which seemed to be the most popular to the majority of those of you that voted. We are currently undergoing review by Steam. Once confirmed, we will announce the Early Access and Open Beta dates separately.
Announcement Regarding Changes in Plans
Greetings, Saviors! We have been having much internal debate after seeing your feedback and would like to hear what you think about the following. First, we would like to explain why we had devised the 3 month Exclusive Access plan. The main concern we had with the Steam launch was whether we could provide a stable service upon release to a massive international audience. There are numerous factors that can cause instability, but we anticipate that one of the main causes would be a higher concentration of players than we expected. Many unprecedented problems may affect the servers and creating waiting queues to counter this would merely cause inconvenience for everyone. Furthermore, intrusion of numerous bot accounts would also bring detrimental results to the server and the community. We thought that the best way to provide a much more pleasant and stable gaming environment would be to estimate the approximate amount of players before the massive international release. This would prepare us to respond ideally as we gradually increase the player base. As such, we decided that launching different types of Founder's Pack sequentially would be the most realistic option after researching other cases in the past. However, we thought that Founder's Pack purchasers for other games were not receiving sufficient benefits from the Early Access. Thus, we decided to increase the Early Access period. This decision would also allow us to have enough time to stabilize the servers and adapt to international service before opening up to the mass public. However, we realized that we had missed some critical points after seeing the feedback on yesterday's announcement. The largest point that we missed was that the 3-month gap may cause a divide in the gaming community. We had made options to access the game at lower prices after 1 or 2 months in order to lessen such a divide but realized that it wasn't enough. The feedback gave us a chance to reconsider the initial plan of having 3 months of exclusive access as it proved to be too long for many players. We consider communities to be an integral part of MMORPGs and we consider each and every single player to be important to us regardless of whether or not they pay for the game. We would also like to offer our sincerest apologies for changing to a Founder's Server after announcing an Open Beta without sufficient explanation. We would like to find a way to make amends for announcing a news that let many players down who had been waiting for an Open Beta. Therefore, we would like to ask the users for their opinions on the following before making the final decision. We understand you may not agree with any of the options mentioned below. In that case, please tell us what you think is a more reasonable method. We are always attentively listening to your feedback. Announcement on Founder's Server and the Future Schedules
Greetings, this is the TOS Team. First of all, we would like to show our utmost gratitude to all of you who have been eagerly waiting for the TOS English Version for a long time. We are glad to inform you that our schedule has been confirmed. The TOS English version on Steam will kick off by offering ‘Founder’s Server: Exclusive Access’ that will initially allow access to the buyers and service will be open to everyone after 3 months. 3 types of ‘Founder’s Server: Exclusive Access’ will be released sequentially as the service period elapses. Founder's Server: Exclusive Access is scheduled to be sold from March 16th, but it is subject to change depending on the timing of Steam's authorization. We’ve come up with this initial access to prevent numerous Bot Accounts from the early stages of service and to provide a stable in-game environment to our users. Furthermore, the TOS English version will contain various customized contents that won’t be seen in the Korean version. We will continuously develop or make changes on various contents specifically for the TOS English Version so we hope everyone knows about this in advance. (*Please refer to notices and precautions below.) We’ve requested review for the exclusive access to Steam and sales will commence as soon as Steam authorizes it.
